Whack-a-Bee · Not the Bees 🐝 🔨

A single-file whack-a-mole in a picture-book style — but every "mole" is now a bee whose round face is a looping Nicolas Cage "NOT THE BEES!" clip. Antennae rise off the top, pale wings poke out the sides, and a yellow/black striped collar peeks under the round face. Tap the bees to score, dodge the bombs, and survive as the stages speed up.

Built as a single self-contained HTML file: the embedded clip is the Not-the-Bees clip (VP9 + Opus, 240×240), the mole/hit artwork was redrawn as a bee (wings + antennae + striped body in place of the old fur ears/eyes/nose), and the title became Whack-a-Bee · Not the Bees 🐝 🔨.

How to Play

1. Tap the waiting bee to start.
2. Tap bees as they pop up — +10 each; chained hits build a combo.
3. Every 10-combo refills a heart (up to 3).
4. Don't hit the bombs — each costs a heart. Letting a bee escape un-hit also costs a heart.
5. Clear a stage's quota to advance to a faster stage. Lose all hearts → Game Over.

Notes

• The face only animates when whacked: a bee sits up showing a frozen frame, and the clip plays through once (with its "NOT THE BEES!" audio as a one-shot) the instant it's hit.
• Bombs keep their drawn bomb art so they never look like a bee.
• Built from the Not-the-Bees clip in notbees_clip.webm, shared across all five JustMemes games.
