Brick Brick Game (Fan Game)
This is an unofficial fan game inspired by a pixel brick-breaker clip seen on social media. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the makers of that game.
A brick-breaker where the ball has to sneak in. A wall of 2,240 tiny orange bricks fills the top of the screen, but its whole bottom edge is solid steel — the only way in is a one-brick-wide channel in the middle. Slip the ball through the mouth, let it rattle around the steel-lined tunnels and chew the wall from the inside, then catch the power-ups that fall out and turn one ball into hundreds.
How to Play
- Press PLAY on the title screen.
- Drag anywhere (or move the mouse) to steer the paddle — on a keyboard, ← / → (or A / D).
- The ball waits on the paddle with a dotted aim line going straight up. Line it up with the channel mouth and tap (or press Space / ↑) to launch. It launches by itself after 4 seconds.
- Grey steel never breaks. The bottom row of the wall and the lining of the tunnels are steel, so a ball that misses the mouth just bounces back down.
- Inside, the channel runs up the middle to a crossbar with a post at each end. The top of the centre channel is capped with steel; only the ends of the two posts are open, and that is where the ball starts breaking bricks.
- As in the original, 23 items are hidden in bricks when each game starts, and an item drops only when its brick breaks — nothing drops at random. The set, counted from the original clip: 8 × +3, 5 × ×3, 3 × —, 3 × ↔, 1 × | and 3 × ★. Six of the twenty non-star items sit within two bricks of the four open post ends, where the ball first gets at the wall; the rest, stars included, are anywhere. Items fall straight through the wall; catch them with the paddle:
- +3 (cyan): three new balls fly up from the paddle.
- ×3 (green): every ball on screen splits into three.
- — (peach): an orange floor appears at the bottom for 8 seconds so no ball is lost.
- ↔ (dark green): the paddle grows 1.3× wider for 12 seconds.
- | (pink): for 4 seconds the paddle fires purple laser shots straight up. They pass through steel and pierce every brick in their column, cutting a one-brick tunnel up to the ceiling.
- ★ (gold star): the result-screen stars. Exactly three are hidden in random bricks each game; catch them to fill the three stars at the top of the screen and on the result screen. Stars fall twice as fast as other items, and a star that falls past the paddle is gone.
- Score = bricks broken. The grey bar above the wall fills up as the wall disappears.
- No lives: the moment the last ball falls, it is Game over.
- You win! when every brick is broken.
- On the result screen: PLAY AGAIN restarts and HOME returns to the title.
Features
- The channel: a 50 × 50 grid laid out cell-for-cell like the original — a steel floor with one gap, and a steel-lined tunnel (centre trunk in column 25 capped at the top, crossbar on row 29, posts in columns 14 and 36). The bricks run right to the screen edges.
- Multiball chaos: up to 900 balls at once.
- Top bar: SCORE on the left, the three stars in the middle and BEST on the right.
- Title screen: a self-playing demo that aims for the mouth runs behind the BRICK BRICK GAME title and PLAY button.
- Result screen: a dark panel with You win! / Game over, stars, bricks broken counting up, % cleared, best score and NEW BEST!; the balls keep bouncing behind it.
- Font: the blocky pixel font Press Start 2P everywhere.
- Sound: retro square-wave ticks for bricks, a bouncy ping-pong "tock" when a ball hits steel, chimes for power-ups and a fanfare for a win.
Design
- Portrait layout that fits phones and computer screens alike. Same title → play → result flow as Marble Sort, but the art follows the original clip.
- Flat pixel look: orange bricks with dark grid lines, grey steel, near-black background, white balls, a flat coral paddle, flat round power-ups, mustard buttons on a dark grey panel.
- The title and result screens show "Please subscribe and like!" at the bottom.
